About this group
Welcome to Marthas on a Mission! We are a group of women who love Jesus and have a heart for serving others in His name. Our mission is simple: to be the hands and feet of Jesus by showing up, loving well, and meeting needs within our church and community.
Our name is inspired by Martha in the Bible—a woman known for her heart to serve and her willingness to "do". In Luke 10, we see Martha opening her home to Jesus and busying herself with serving and caring for those around her. She was a do-er—someone who saw what needed to be done and got to work. While Jesus also reminded Martha of the importance of slowing down and spending time in His presence, we love the picture of a woman whose faith moved her to action. We want to be women who sit at the feet of Jesus and then get up and serve in His name.
Whether we’re preparing meals, supporting local organizations, helping families in need, or simply lending a hand where God calls us, we believe there is joy and purpose in serving together.
