Uganda Mission Trip

District Church is seeking to fund and build a medical clinic and maternity center in Nakwaya, Uganda in 2020.  And we need your help, because this is no small vision!  We are seeking a team of people to go to Uganda, review the project and prayerfully consider giving and/or fundraising to support the project.

This medical clinic will serve the health needs of a community where the nearest hospital is 40 long miles away. Many in the community don’t have the means to make that journey, especially expecting mothers, who will be served by the maternity ward in this clinic.  Other needs will be met through an outpatient clinic and operating room.  As many as 6000 people per year will be served by this clinic. This Christian clinic also serves as a partner to the local church and a base for spiritual outreach.

To complete the project we need to raise $185,000.  This will fund the construction, medical equipment and staff the clinic for 1 year.  To date $32,000 has been raised through our Legacy offering (CLICK HERE TO LEARN ABOUT LEGACY).

On this trip we will:

  • see the site of the clinic and learn more about it
  • see 2 similar, completed clinics in other communities
  • meet the Ugandan partner conducting this project, and learn about their entire operation
  • meet other World Help partners in Uganda
  • visit pastors Stephen and Samson who are friends of many at District

To cap it all off we will be enjoying both a land and boat safari in the headwaters of the Nile river.  What could be better?

The above trip cost does not include the Uganda Tourist Visa Fee of $50/visa and the roundtrip ticket to and from Uganda.

  1. Complete our online Trip Information Form and subsequent Background Check(if a participant has traveled with us within the last year please let us know their name as we may still have a valid Background check for them on file)
